Huawei Nova 3i Review: Design and Build
Nova 3i device looks very attractive to watch. You get a glass-metal body in the device, but the two-tone gradient finish on the rear looks great. Because of the glass finish, if you think that it is glowing, it is not like this, it will be liked by ordinary people too.
Here you have given oleophobic coating on both sides in front and back but due to being a glass-body, it is not possible to save more than the marks of hands.
According to today's time, you have been given up front with full-display on the front and you get to see a little bezel on the bottom but the branding is given only on the back side.
The back fingerprint sensor can be used very easily and is quite fast. Huawei has given you a soft TPU transparent cover for a slightly raised camera setup here, which makes it the same.
As we have stated above, we have been quite impressed with the Lukas of Huawei's Nova 3i. If you want a tempting looking smartphone at this price, it might prove to be the best option for you. Only here we can say a reduction that the device does not have a USB Type-C port.
Huawei Nova 3i looks great in watching and is quite comfortable to run.
This phone made of glass-metal body has a large nail-display in front.
The audio jack, the speaker grill and the USB port are placed on the bottom side. You have been given a USB Type-A port in the device.
The hybrid sim tray is given in Nova 3i.
Fingerprint sensor can be used very easily. Here also you have the facility of face-unlock.
Huawei has also introduced a soft back-cover with the device.
Huawei Nova 3i Review: Display
In the Nokia 3i you have been given a 6.3-inch IPS LCD FHD + display .. and color is also presented very well. Even then we use the 'normal' mode because it is quite accurate and feels comfortable for the eyes too.
The full-brightness of the device may be a bit better, but the device still remains able to read the text in the outdoor. The number given in the device is a little bigger, in addition to which you can see system icons in the status bar. The navigation button below has been given to you also allows you to open the Notification panel.
The display quality is fairly good at this price.
Contrast, color and dynamic range are quite good. Normal color mode is quite accurate and gives comfort to your eyes.
Due to nine reasons, only system icons are seen here, such as Wi-Fi, SIM network etc.
You can also hide nine from the display settings.
Huawei Nova 3i Review: Performance and Software
This is the first smartphone introduced with Kirin 710 Octa-core chipset. After using for a week, we can say that the Kirin 710, Kirin 659 is a good improvement upgrade. But it still remains a bit behind in Snapdragon 660, available in this price range, in terms of performance.
We are not saying the device is perfect, but we have not seen any slowness of normal usage in daily usage. We have played a lot of high-end games here, which can be played with ease without any frame drops, just playing Asphalt 9 on the Maximem setting gives a slight frame drop. On playing heavy games, a little bit of heating in the device is also seen.
Upcoming GPU Turbo updates could possibly make the Goddess's gaming performance even better. And for gaming enthusiasts, Huawei Honor Play, which has given you the Kirin 970 chipset, can be a better option but it is not as attractive as Nova 3i.
Now, in the device of the talk software, you have given skin with a lot of custom options of EMUI 8.2, after which you can hardly get the experience of Android Orio. Huawei has tried to give almost all the features in its device here and if you are not a tech-savvy, then so many features can make you even a little nervous. And on the other hand if you want to improve your device in every way, you may also like this custom feature.
In Kirin 710 you get better corrections than Kirin 659.
The 128GB large storage also affects you here.
The fingerprint sensor given in the phone is quite fast and accurate. Apart from this, the option of Face Unlock has also been given.
Nova 3i has a DRM L1 certificate but it can not stream HD content on Netflix and this reduction can be seen in almost all the phones of this price range.
EMUI 8.2 has been introduced with a lot of custom features in terms of software features.
Huawei Nova 3i review: camera display
Now let's talk about the camera. Here you are given 16MP f / 2.2 aperture PDAF camera sensor with which Extra sensor for depth of 2MP is also given. On the front you have been given a 24MP selfie camera with f / 2.0 aperture. In front you also have a depth of 2MP sensing camera which has been introduced with the AI Smart Feature.
In Nova 3i you get to see better camera performance according to this price range. The camera captures a lot of good details in the in-the-wall lighting, and the image output is much better at the outdoors.
In low-light, you get a much better image output than AI, but the image gets over-saturated for quite a while.
If you turn on AI then the camera will capture the normal image first, then it will improve the AI based on it. If you have clicked the image with AI mode then you can also get normal image output by off the AI effect from the image saved in the gallery. Overall, AI needs a little bit of improvement yet it has not left the impact.
The color tone seems to be tilted slightly warm side. Outdoor image output is much better and the rear camera sensor is quite fast in terms of focus.
Details are also good enough in the in-door image.
In Portrait mode, we expected a little better. The edge of the object is quite soft without being sharp. With camera application you can also reduce background blur to yourself or more.
Rear camera portraits
The image taken by the Selfie camera is quite good but the portrait mode is a bit incompatible, meaning you can not expect good image output consistently.
General selfie
In the camera application, you have given a lot of features which have some good AI features like Qmojis, background etc.
If you compare the image taken by M2 and its image, Mi A2 proves to be a bit better in the right lighting. Talking of low-light shots, the fight is quite tight. We will update soon with the comparison of the camera performance of both phones.
Huawei Nova 3i Review: Battery , Connectivity and Audio
The 3340mAh battery provides you with a battery backup of 1 day (or more) very easily. As already mentioned, here you have been given a USB Type-A port which does not support fast charging.
The audio output is not much faster than the mono speaker. Good audio output from headphones. GPS navigation works fairly well. Call quality also gets much better.
The biggest draw here is that we do not support the 5GHz Wi-Fi closure, which in turn leads to a lot of discomfort in streaming content on another device like Chrome-Cast.
3340mAh battery easily gives a backup of 1 day (or more).
Fast charging is not supported, but the 5V / 2A charger provided by Huawei charges the battery very quickly.
You have not been given dual-off Wi-Fi support in Nova 3i. This can prove to be a bit of a problem for people who use a streaming doggy like chromecast.
Audio output by loudspeaker is not fast, but audio is very good by headphone.
Huawei Nova 3i Review: Should you buy this device?
Among the other smartphone options offered at this price by Huawei, Nova 3i proves to be the best phone option. In the phone, you get a good specification, besides 'Premium for Lux' and 'Value for Money'.
With a good quality IPS LCD panel, here you are not the best but quite a good camera. Apart from which the battery provides you much better battery backup. In Kirin 710 you will find better improvements to Kirin 659 but at this price it can still not be the best chipset.
Mi A2 offered by Shawmi gives almost the best camera performance and stock Android software in this range. If you compare, you get a lot of design and battery backup in Nova 3i.
